1. What is BYD Launch Event plan?
The plan offers priced at RM350.00 for RM500.00 worth of charging for customers who purchase this charging plan at BYD Atto 2 Launch event from 24 July 2025 - 27 July 2025. This plan entitles owners with 100% discount on charging entitlement at all AC and DC chargers that are wholly owned and operated by chargEV and Handal Green Mobility (DC Handal).
Note: The plan is subject to limited availability and will no longer be offered once fully purchased.
2. Can anybody sign up to the plan?
This plan is available to all customers who redeem the invitation code to purchase the charging plan at BYD Atto 2 Launch at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur.
3. How do I become eligible for the plan?
This plan is available to all customers who redeem the invitation code to purchase the charging plan at the event. Visit our chargEV booth at the BYD Atto 2 event at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur to redeem your invitation code.
4. Can this plan be used together with another plan?
No, the plan cannot be combined with other promotions or offers. Customers are entitled to the benefits of only one plan at any given time.
5. Can I upgrade / convert my existing plan to this plan?
Upgrades from any existing plan to this plan are not possible, as it is a promotional plan.
6. My existing membership plan is still active, can I activate the plan?
Yes, you can. However, only one plan can be active at any given time. The active plan is determined by the default plan settings in your ‘Profile & Memberships’. You can change the default plan by going to ‘More’ > ‘Profile & Memberships’ and toggling the selection of your available membership plan.
7. Are the charging benefits applicable for selected charging stations?
Yes, the discounted charging rates under the plan is only available at chargEV and Handal Green Mobility (DC Handal) charging stations in Malaysia. You can verify this by opening the chargEV App and navigating to the Map. Locate your nearest chargEV or Handal Green Mobility (DC Handal) station, indicated by the chargEV icon or roaming
icon. Tap on 'Start Charging' and check the Operator listed under 'Station Details'. The discount applies only if the Operator is chargEV or Handal Green Mobility (DC Handal).
8. Can I use the plan on roaming chargers?
The plan is not applicable to other roaming partner chargers such as JomCharge, Gentari, or others, with the exception of Handal Green Mobility (DC Handal).
9. What is the validity of the Plan once activated?
The benefits are valid for six (6) months from the date of activation or until the usage cap of RM500.00 has been reached, whichever comes first.
10. Can I purchase the plan now and activate it later?
Yes, you can. However, please note that the code is valid for activation only until 31 December 2025. After this date, it will expire and cannot be redeemed, reinstated, or extended.
11. Is there an expiry period for the RM500.00 after activation?
Yes. The plan is valid for six (6) months from the date of activation or until the usage cap of RM500.00 is reached, whichever occurs first
12. Is the plan applicable for chargers in Singapore?
No, it only applies to chargers in Malaysia that are wholly owned and operated by chargEV and Handal Green Mobility (DC Handal).
13. How do I activate the Plan?
To activate the Plan, from chargEV app, tap on More then go to the Profile & Memberships page, select the BYD Launch Event, then tap on Redeem with Code.
You can review the plan details, tap Apply Now and follow the steps to provide the required information.
Once you reached Step 2/3, please enter your invitation code in the field below and tap Continue to complete the final steps.
14. Where do I get an invitation code?
The invitation code required to redeem the plan can be redeemed at chargEV booth during the BYD Atto 2 launch event from 24 July 2025 until 27 July 2025 at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur or via email from chargEV after the event.
15. How can I check if I have reached my usage cap?
You can check your charging usage at Profile & Memberships from chargEV app. From main menu, tap on More > Profile & Memberships > Under the Membership section, you will see your remaining balance and the usage bar as highlighted below.
Alternatively, you can also check from charging History. I.e. Main menu, tap on More > Charging History.
16. Will there be a pre-authorisation for my transaction?
As the plan provides customers with a 100% discount, there is no pre-authorisation required as long as the total usage remains within the RM500.00 cap.
17. What measures are in place to prevent abuse of the plan?
We enforce a fair usage policy to prevent misuse of our services. Additionally, chargEV reserves the right to suspend any customer's plan in the event of suspected fraud.
Terms and Conditions:
1. Promotion Exclusivity: The plan cannot be combined with other promotions or offers. Users are entitled to the benefits of only one plan at any given time.
2. Campaign Period: This campaign is organised and managed by chargEV. For enquiries regarding the campaign period, please visit our chargEV and DC Handal booth.
3. Eligibility: This plan is available to all customers who redeem the invitation code to purchase the charging plan at BYD Atto 2 launch event at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur.

4. Usage Area: The 100% off from the plan entitlement is only applicable to chargers in Malaysia that are wholly owned and operated by chargEV and Handal Green Mobility (DC Handal), excluding idle fees where applicable.
5. Activation Period: The code is valid for activation until 31 December 2025. After this date, the code will expire and cannot be redeemed, reinstated or extended.
6. Validity Period: The benefits are valid for six (6) months from the date of activation or until the usage cap of RM500.00 has been reached, whichever comes first.
7. Only one plan can be active at any given time.
8. Users shall be solely responsible for any damage, loss and/or expiry of the code.
9. Once purchased, the plan cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable, either in cash, in part or full.
10. Fair Usage Policy: Usage is subject to chargEV’s fair usage policy to prevent abuse
11. Fraud Monitoring: chargEV reserves the right to suspend any card or plan in the event of suspected fraud.
12. chargEV reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to vary any of the terms and conditions by addition, deletion, modification, amendment, or otherwise any of the terms and conditions.
