What is Autocharge?
The Autocharge feature is a new feature brought to you by chargEV to simplify your EV charging experience.
Once enabled, it automatically starts the charging session when you plug in your vehicle, conveniently without the need for additional authentication steps offering a more seamless experience.
Is my vehicle supported?
Not all EVs support Autocharge. Some vehicles don't match the criteria to qualify or are still being reviewed before enabling support.
When saving a vehicle on the new chargEV app, you'll see an icon that shows you if it's supported yet or not. Check back frequently as the list will change as time goes on.
How do I set up Autocharge?
After saving your vehicle, set up Autocharge in 3 easy steps ! Tap on the banner below your saved vehicle to start and follow the on screen steps !
Can I turn off Autocharge?
Yes, sometimes you may want to turn off Autocharge after activating, like lending your EV to a friend or family member. Disable Autocharge at any time by expanding your Vehicle card and choosing disable.
Does Autocharge work everywhere?
Almost! Autocharge works on chargEV Operator locations and DC chargers - quickly filter these by using the new Map filters or the Quick Filters on the map; on the station details look for the 'Auto' icon :
Unsupported Chargers?
These DC chargers don't support Autocharge yet, but we're working on it !
